Start your journey from your Negombo hotel and travel towards Sri Lanka’s beautiful southern coast.
10:30 AM – Madu River Boat Safari
Enjoy a scenic 2 hour boat safari through the peaceful mangroves and waterways of the Madu River.
12:40 PM – Ariyapala Traditional Mask Museum
Visit the museum and discover Sri Lanka’s traditional mask-making culture and craftsmanship.
1:00 PM – Lunch Break
Stop at a local restaurant for lunch and take a short break before continuing.
1:15 PM – Tsunami Memorial & Honganji Viharaya
Visit the memorial and temple in Hikkaduwa and learn about the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
2:10 PM – Turtle Beach, Hikkaduwa
Relax at Turtle Beach, enjoy the coastal views, and look out for sea turtles depending on the conditions.
3:10 PM – Scenic Drive to Galle
Continue along the beautiful southern coast towards Galle, enjoying the sea views along the way.
3:40 PM – Drop-off in Galle
Bring sunglasses and sunscreen for sunny days.
Pack a rain jacket or umbrella – weather can change during the journey.
Carry a small day bag with your essentials. Your main luggage can remain safely in the vehicle.
A power bank can be useful for keeping your phone charged.
Wet tissues are handy to have during the journey.
